The Scripture says in James 5:14-15 (NKJV) "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. [15] And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up..."
At one time or another everyone gets sick and the Bible says to pray for one another and visit the sick (Matthew 25:39). People in this ministry have the gift of mercy and find it a joy to lift others up during illness at home or in the hospital.
